UNILAG 2026/2027 Direct Entry Portal: How to Register Before the September 22 Deadline

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has opened online registration for Direct Entry (DE) admission into its undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session. The portal opened on September 9, 2026, and closes on September 22, 2026, so candidates should not leave this until the last minute.

Who Can Register

Only candidates who selected UNILAG as their first-choice institution in the 2026 JAMB Direct Entry application are eligible to register on the portal.

  • At least five O'Level credit passes at one sitting, including English Language and Mathematics
  • A qualifying higher certificate, such as an Upper Credit OND/HND, JUPEB, Cambridge A-Levels, NCE, or a recognised first degree
  • Candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026

Make sure your name, date of birth, state of origin and LGA match exactly across all your documents — mismatches are a common reason applications get flagged.

How to Register on the Portal

  • Go to the UNILAG application portal and click "Start New Application"
  • Select "Undergraduate" as the Application Type
  • Log in using your DE JAMB Registration Number as the username, and your surname in lowercase as the password
  • Generate and print your payment advice, then pay the application fee (₦3,500) online or at a commercial bank
  • Return to the portal and click "Continue Application"
  • Fill out the bio-data and screening form
  • Upload your academic results and certificates
  • Click "Preview" to check everything carefully, then "Submit"
  • Print your Direct Entry Application Slip and keep it safe

Documents You'll Need to Upload

Depending on your qualification, be ready to upload one or more of the following: First Degree, HND, OND, SSCE/O'Level results, JUPEB, Cambridge A-Level, NCE, NFLV Diploma, MUSON Diploma, ABRSM, Trinity College London, Baccalaureate, or DELF/DALF certificates.

A Few Important Notes

Candidates who were previously expelled from UNILAG cannot be considered for fresh admission. Students whose earlier admission was withdrawn for poor academic performance may reapply, but only for a different programme from the one they left.

UNILAG also maintains a zero-tolerance drug policy — admissions can be withdrawn if a newly admitted student tests positive, whether the test happens before or after registration.

Candidates who skip the online registration exercise will not be considered for admission, regardless of how strong their JAMB or O'Level results are.

Need Help?

For registration issues, candidates can reach UNILAG's admissions office at deapplication@unilag.edu.ng or by phone on 09053006772 / 08141656802.

Full details and the registration portal itself are available on the official University of Lagos website.
