JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Result Released: Direct Link, Rank List, Cutoff

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 result on its official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates who appeared for the Session 2 examination can now check their scorecard using their application number and date of birth. The result includes the raw score, All India Rank (AIR), and category-wise rank for every candidate.

How to check your JEE Main 2026 result

  • Visit the official NTA JEE Main results portal.
  • Log in using your application number and date of birth or password.
  • Download and save your scorecard as a PDF — you will need it for JEE Advanced registration and later counselling rounds.
  • Cross-check your response sheet against the released answer key if your score looks different from your expectation.

Understanding your rank and percentile

JEE Main results are published as a percentile score rather than a raw mark, which accounts for the difficulty difference across multiple shifts of the exam. Your All India Rank is calculated after combining and normalising scores from every session and shift. Category-wise rank (for reserved categories) is calculated separately and will usually be a smaller number than your overall AIR.

What happens next

Candidates who clear the eligibility cutoff for JEE Advanced can register for that examination within the window announced by the IITs. Students aiming for NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded institutes will take part in JoSAA counselling, which uses your JEE Main All India Rank directly — there is no separate exam for this stage.

Keep your scorecard, Class 12 marksheet, category certificate (if applicable), and a valid photo ID ready, since most counselling portals ask for these documents to be uploaded early in the registration process.

Important dates to track

  • Answer key challenge window: check the official notice for exact dates.
  • JEE Advanced registration: opens shortly after the Session 2 result.
  • JoSAA counselling registration: typically opens within two to three weeks of the final result.
