GCTU Admission Portal 2026 Application Deadline & How to Apply

Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) has opened applications for the 2026/2027 academic year (September 2026 intake) through its official admission portal, apply.gctu.edu.gh. Prospective students applying for degree, diploma and top-up programmes can now submit their forms online.

Is There a Fixed Deadline?

As of publication, GCTU has not announced a single fixed closing date for the 2026/2027 intake on its official admissions page. Applicants who meet entry requirements, as well as those still awaiting WASSCE results, are currently eligible to apply.

In September 2026, the university's Student Recruitment Unit ran a two-week Admission Clinic at its Tesano campus in Accra to help applicants complete their forms. The Head of Student Recruitment, Gloria Adelaide Sosu, confirmed that in-person support would continue on Saturdays "until the closing date," signalling that a cut-off is approaching even though no exact date has been published yet.

Applicants are advised not to wait for a formal deadline announcement and to complete their applications as early as possible.

How to Apply on the GCTU Admission Portal

  • Visit apply.gctu.edu.gh, pay the application fee via Mobile Money, and complete the form online.
  • Alternatively, buy a GH₵250 application voucher at any Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) branch or Ghana Post office nationwide, then use the voucher's serial number and PIN to apply at apply.gctu.edu.gh.
  • Submit certified copies of certificates, results slips and transcripts as required.

Programmes on Offer

GCTU is accepting applications across its three faculties — the Faculty of Computing and Information Systems, the Faculty of Engineering, and the GCTU Business School — for four-year degree programmes, two-year diploma programmes, and Top-Up options at Levels 200 and 300.
