The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has opened an additional Post-UTME screening exercise on its admission portal for candidates seeking admission into a set of newly approved courses for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The announcement was signed by the University Registrar, C. O. Adeleye. It applies only to the schools and programmes listed below.

Screening Dates

The additional screening runs from Thursday, 17 September 2026 to Friday, 2 October 2026. Candidates who miss this window will not be eligible for the exercise.

Eligibility Requirements

  • A minimum score of 180 in the 2026 UTME
  • FUTA chosen as first-choice institution on JAMB
  • At least five O'Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, from WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or an equivalent body
  • Credits obtained in not more than two sittings
  • UTME subject combination matching the chosen programme
  • Candidates must turn 16 by 30 September 2026

Courses Covered

The exercise covers selected programmes across ten schools, including Agricultural Extension and Communication Technology, Animal Production and Health, Human Anatomy, Applied Geology, Applied Geophysics, Marine Science Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Estate Management, Urban and Regional Planning, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Project Management Technology, Financial Technology, Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, and Library and Information Science, among others.

Screening Fee

The fee is ₦2,000, payable through Remita after generating a payment code on the portal. Candidates who already registered and paid for FUTA's earlier Post-UTME screening do not need to pay again — they can simply update their course choice on the portal.

How to Apply

  • Visit the official FUTA website
  • Open the Post-UTME application portal
  • Enter your JAMB registration number and details exactly as on your JAMB slip
  • Generate your payment code and pay via Remita
  • Complete and submit the online registration form
  • Print a copy of the completed form for your records

Important Notes

Candidates must make sure their O'Level results are uploaded or verified on JAMB CAPS — failure to do so can affect admission consideration. Anyone who does not take part in the screening will not be considered for admission.
