Delhi University UG Admission 2026: CSAS Registration Guide

Delhi University runs its undergraduate admissions through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS), a two-phase online process that replaced the old cut-off-list system. Here's how the process generally works.

Phase 1: Registration and preferences

• Create your CSAS account using your CUET application number.
• Fill in your personal, academic and category details carefully — errors here can affect your eligibility for reserved-category seats.
• Select your preferred combination of college and programme, and rank them in order of preference. You can list as many combinations as you like — DU's algorithm works down your list automatically.

Phase 2: Seat allocation

Once your CUET result is linked, DU runs allocation rounds where each round tries to move you up your preference list based on your score and seat availability. You'll need to either "accept and freeze" a seat you're happy with or "upgrade" to keep being considered for a higher preference in the next round.

Documents to keep ready

Class 10 and 12 marksheets, category/EWS/PwD certificates where applicable, a passport-size photo, and your CUET scorecard. Keep scanned copies ready in the file size and format DU specifies, since upload errors are one of the most common reasons for delayed verification.
