AAMUSTED (USTED) Admission Portal 2026/2027 Apply, Fees and Closing Dates

The Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), commonly known as USTED, runs its admissions entirely online through a dedicated applicant portal. Candidates applying for undergraduate, post-diploma, mature-entry, or postgraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic year must go through this system rather than a paper-based process.

Categories of Applicants

USTED admits students under a few distinct categories, each with its own entry route:

Direct Applicants — selected mainly on WASSCE/SSSCE results, generally without an entrance exam
Mature Applicants — must be 25 or older by September 1 of the application year, and sit the university's Subject Area Test (SAT) and General Aptitude Test (GAT)
Post-Diploma Applicants — hold an HND or equivalent diploma and are applying to continue in a related field
Postgraduate Applicants — applying to graduate programmes through the School of Graduate Studies
International Applicants — non-Ghanaian applicants, who can request forms directly from the admissions office

What You Need Before You Apply

Before starting an application on the portal, USTED asks candidates to have the following ready:

A valid personal email address and mobile number
Scanned certified copies of certificates and transcripts, saved as PDF
A digital passport photo (450 x 450 pixels, JPEG format, plain white/off-white background, no hats or sunglasses)

How to Apply

Applicants first need to purchase an application voucher, then use it to register and complete the form on the portal.

Vouchers can be bought at Ecobank, GCB Bank, Prudential Bank, Zenith Bank, CalBank, GT Bank, Ghana Post, UBA, OmniBSIC Bank, Consolidated Bank Ghana, Fidelity Bank, Stanbic Bank, and select rural banks, or directly at AAMUSTED's revenue offices in Kumasi and Mampong
Mobile money shortcodes are also available: Zenith Bank (*966*3*521#) and GT Bank (*737*212#)
Once a voucher is obtained, applicants log in to the Admission Portal to complete registration

Post-Diploma applicants — GH¢230.00
Mature applicants — GH¢345.00
Graduate (postgraduate) applicants — GH¢288.00
International applicants — request forms via email or WhatsApp (+233 244 972 835) for pricing

Closing Dates

For the 2026/2027 cycle, the university listed the following deadlines:

Mature Applicants — August 20, 2026
Direct, Post-Diploma, and Postgraduate Applicants — August 30, 2026

Both dates have now passed. Anyone who missed the window should contact the admissions office directly to ask about late applications or find out when the next intake opens, rather than assuming the portal is still accepting new registrations.
